Coca-Cola changes colour of London Eye, activates in King's Cross for RWC

Coca-Cola is celebrating the Rugby World Cup (RWC) final by lighting The London Eye to reflect the colours of the two remaining teams, and it has landed an interactive vending machine in London.

As darkness fell over the capital last night (25 October) The London Eye was lit up in colours representative of the New Zealand All Blacks and Australian team, the Wallabies.

The hotly competitive southern hemisphere teams will battle it out for the World Cup crown on Saturday (31 October).

Elsewhere in central London, Coca-Cola has positioned a 'smile vending machine' within King’s Cross station from 1pm-8pm today (26 October) in celebration of the final. 

In keeping in line with its Choose Happiness campaign, the brand is inviting passers-by to smile at the machine in order to receive a free can of Coca-Cola or Coca-Cola Zero, and five winners will each receive a ball used in one of the RWC 15 matches. 

Coca-Cola enlisted a handful of top rugby players to light up The London Eye in the lead up to RWC, and it has been lit up in a range of colours throughout the tournament. 

Coca-Cola activated a smilar concept at V Festival in August, and in the same month its Twitter-powered vending machine visited a number of key London train stations, distributing free t-shirts to those who took part in the activity.
