Brand Events has unveiled details of the first MPH motoring event to be staged in the Midlands. As last month’s Event exclusively revealed, MPH05 will take place at the NEC from 10-13 November, then relocate to Earls Court from 17-20 November. A large number of brand managers have pledged their support for both events. Shell Optimax has confirmed its headline sponsorship of both events while Virgin Radio, Sony Ericsson, Bose and Sunday Times Driving will partner the shows and use the format of live motoring theatre to entertain corporate guests. “With its dynamic format, MPH is an excellent platform to communicate the benefits of the Shell Optimax brand,” Shell UK Oil Products brand manager Amie Barnes said. “We are very excited about the development of the event this year, with its launch into Birmingham – enabling a larger number of our customers to enjoy the event.” The centrepiece of both events will be the live show, hosted by Jeremy Clarkson and featuring stunts from performance vehicles. The MPH Gallery will bring together many of the world’s car marques and a Sony Ericsson MPH Studio will showcase modified prestige marques. The Classic Car Gallery will feature vintage vehicles and the Octane Classic Car Hall of Fame will display cars from the past five decades.
