Clarion Events has launched The Luxury Travel Fair, a consumer show scheduled to take place from 29 June – 2 July 2006 at Olympia in London. Condé Nast Traveller magazine has been lined up as headline media partner for the event, which will run alongside stablemate The Daily Telegraph House & Garden Fair. “We are very excited to be launching the first consumer luxury travel fair in the UK with Condé Nast Traveller,” said show director Chris Gallon. “The event will be a live version of the magazine. Visitors will be able to experience, research and book the very highest range of luxury travel options available within a luxurious and inspiring environment, creating an altogether unique offer.” Clarion aims to attract 160 exclusive travel brands covering health spas, golf resorts, yacht and jet charters and first-class travel, to exhibit in front of an estimated 50,000 visitors. “House & Garden Fair visitors will be able to visit the show but we’ll also be setting up a dedicated marketing campaign. We already run Destinations but feel there’s a market for luxury travel, encompassing holidays costing in excess of £3,000. We’ve had huge interest already with people wanting to get involved,” said the show’s marketing manager Michelle Kyles. Exhibitors currently on board include luxury holiday specialist Leading Hotels of the World, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Crystal Cruises, travel company Cox & Kings, Exsus Travel and property rental firm The Villa Book. Show features will include the Infinity Bar plus An Audience With theatre, which will offer insights from people working in the luxury travel industry.
