Clarion Events has completed its acquisition of Amusement Trade Exhibitions (ATE), the exhibition, conference, publishing and services subsidiary of the British Amusement Catering Trades Association (BACTA.) Clarion gains a host of UK and international events, including the Amusement Trade Exhibition International (ATEi) and International Casino Exhibition (ICE) shows which both take place at Earls Court from 24-26 January 2006. Clarion managing director Simon Kimble said ATE was a world leader in the amusement, gambling and betting industries and Clarion could benefit hugely from its skills. The deal comes weeks after Clarion acquired the NEC’s in-house organising arm, Centre Exhibitions.
