The House of Holi will run between 11 and 22 March on London’s Devonshire Square and will offer participants a 30-minute session of paint pelting to celebrate the festival of colour, which takes place on 17 March.
The restaurant will also be serving a five-course Holi menu as part of the activity, which will include a choice of starters, either chargrilled sprouting broccoli with almonds and rose petals, or Kentish lamb pasanda with rock moss and allspice.
Mains include a lotus stem korma or tandoori king prawns in a coconut and mustard curry, and diners will be able to tuck into traditional Holi sweets along with a carrot halwa parcel or a slice of coconut and pistachio cake.
As part of the ticketed event, guests will be able to enjoy a range of Holi-themed cocktails at the venue’s Anise bar. Drinks include the holika fire, containing Applejack brandy, lime and homemade grenadine; and the neela heera featuring Broker’s Gin, Maraschino liqueur, Crème Yvette and lemon.
