More than half of the 125 UK-based agencies to have secured a place on one or more of the ten lots are completely new to the roster.
COI's Live Events team received in excess of 1,300 individual applications - the successful agencies being selected on the basis of their proven expertise and experience in certain specialisms, such as experiential, event multi-media production services and audi-visual services.
The roster has been divided to meet the requirements of the Public Contract Regulations 2006, which requires that all suppliers "capable of performing the proposed contract" are invited to compete for each piece of business.
Briefs can be issued depending on requirements, allowing agencies to compete for government and public sector work without the lengthy procurement processes.
"We had a fantastic response for this review and I really appreciate all the hard work that everyone involved had to put in," said director of Live Events Simon Hughes who came first in this year's Event 100 poll.
"We have extended the range of suppliers on the framework in order to both focus our procurement processes and give our clients greater choice and flexibility."
The Live Events framework, worth more than £12m per annum, was last reviewed in 2005.

Whilst I salute all those who have got through, I must admit to being a little unsure about the COI's differential categorization between "Live Events" and "Experiential". Can anyone illuminate me at all?

This was an exciting process to go through and we're delighted to have been named in two of the categories.
The COI's detailed approvals process tests every element of the business – from your creative strategies to your environmental policies – with a framework that enables a variety of event disciplines to showcase their particular field of expertise, as well as demonstrating the strength of your quality systems and processes.
We're really proud to have been selected for this prestigious roster again.

We're delighted and proud to have been selected for this prestigious roster. The process of selection has been comprehensive and the fact we've been selected is confirmation that not only are we a professional, well managed organization but we have something different to offer the COI.
This is a competitive market and we're proud to be the only agency from Manchester featuring in our allotted category. Chris Teague, Director Rapport Events
