Organisers of the Notting Hill Carnival have employed event management and experiential firm Bugle Communications to help run this year's event, which kicks off this Sunday (30 August).

More than 1.5m people are expected to attend the two-day celebration, which is recognised as the biggest public event in Europe.

Bugle will be responsible for sponsor liaison, route management, security and general public safety.

The London and Chelmsford-based company will employ more than 1,200 stewards to be on duty over the bank holiday weekend and has secured DJ Hero, the new game from Activision, as headline sponsor for the event.

Event reported last year how the Notting Hill Carnival Trust hit back at Kensington and Chelsea Council over claims the event could be axed because of public safety issues.
