The total purchase of the expatriate information and events business will be capped at £6.75m, as a further payment in cash will be paid subject to FEM’s profits in the 12 months ending June 2013.

The company organises exhibitions and networking events for its web-based community of HR professionals responsible for the management of expatriates within international corporates. All FEM staff will now relocate to Centaur’s offices in London.

"We are confident that joining Centaur will provide us with the infrastructure to grow our existing activities and the expertise to expand into new areas of operation," said FEM chief executive Brian Friedman.

"The synergies with Centaur's brand Employee Benefits and Business Travel shows could not be a better fit for our aggressive expansion plans."

"I am delighted to welcome Brian Friedman and his team to the Group," added Centaur chief executive Geoff Wilmot.

FEM currently runs two major events in the UK and two in the USA.
