Celebrity Cruises hints at immersive cinema experience

Celebrity Cruises has once again teamed up with Great British Chefs to host a range of events throughout the year, and it seems another cinematic experience is on the cards.

While exact details of the event are yet to be confirmed, last year saw the companies devise an immersive, food-focused film experience coined the Silver Screen Cuisine. This extended to two of Celebrity Cruises' ships, and was called Taste of Film.

This year’s experience will build on the success of the 2015 offering. It will highlight both brands' ongoing commitment to quality produce, by combining both food and beverages.

Elsewhere, chef Josh Eggleton will host a number of events for food fans aboard Celebrity Cruises' Equinox ship in Barcelona in July.

This will be followed by a visit to Gennaro Esposito’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Torre del Saracino on the Amalfi Coast, where attendees will be treated to a bespoke tasting menu lunch and drive along the iconic coastline.

The 2016 event series kicked off with a dinner at Frederick’s Restaurant in London, where guests consumed a three-course meal that showcased the destinations and dining adventures available as part of the partnership.

This marks the third consecutive year that the two brands have joined forces to deliver food events.

Celebrity Cruises recently brought its Lawn Club experience to Waterloo station to cheer up commuters on Blue Monday. View our gallery of the activity here.
