Archer Street's LFW Cocktail Menu

Archer Street in Soho is launching a new cocktail menu for London Fashion Week, featuring five fashion idols. Guests can choose from five new cocktails including Fine and Gandy, a twist on the classic mojito with Havana 3, Crème de Mure, fresh lime juice and sugar syrup, all churned up with fresh blackberries in a sling glass and topped off with ting lemonade. My Drink With Marilyn combines Tanqueray Gin, King's Ginger Liqueur, lychee juice, fresh lemon juice, ginger syrup and a dash of angostura bitter, shaken together, served straight up in a frosted coupette glass.

The Skinny Veni from Mac & Wild

Scottish restaurant Mac & Wild in London's West End has created a special version of its venison burger in honour of London Fashion Week. The Skinny Veni is aimed at those looking for a healthier burger. It will feature two venison patties, béarnaise sauce and cheese, topped with caramelised onions. The bun, beef patty and chips have all been replaced by a summer side salad making it a high protein, low carb option, ideal for those walking the catwalk.

Mediterranean flavours

The incorporation of Mediterranean food into the diet potentially boosts wellbeing and fat control. Mediterranean-inspired Pivaz restaurant, which has two branches in Hackney and Epping and a third launching soon in Brentwood in Essex, has a menu showcasing classic Mediterranean cuisines. Dishes include honey-glazed goats' cheese, Imperial seafood guvech, a selection of meze, meat grills and aromatic vegetarian dishes alongside crisp salads and fragrant casseroles. Dessert options include candied nuts, dried fruits and Baklava.

Game-themed dishes

The culinary delights of game, available only from August to January, will be showcased during the Manchester Food & Drink festival, taking place this year from 29 September to 10 October. Mark Poynton, head chef at Michelin-starred Alimentum in Cambridge, is joining Nacho Manzano, executive chef at Iberica in Spinningfields, Manchester for a special game-themed evening featuring six tapas-themed courses comparing game traditions from Spain and England.
