Carbon takes on Lyle's work

Carbon Marketing has now embarked upon a nationwide sampling campaign for the Lyle's Golden Syrup brand in order to promote its recently launched Lyle's Golden Spread.

The campaign will visit 60 Sainsbury's stores until the end of this month.

Carbon has created a branded marquee so that brand ambassadors can target mothers who are out shopping with their children and get them to taste the spread on toast, bagels or croissants.

A customised noughts and crosses game has also been designed using a replica fridge as the gameboard, magnetic noughts game-pieces that carry pictures of the Lyle's Golden Syrup product portfolio, and magnetic crosses that show images of how to use them.

Assistant brand manager Marion Veisseire said: "Tapping into a trend of consumers spreading the syrup onto morning foods, Lyle's Golden Spread is about bringing the taste to a modern and convenient format for breakfast."
