The caterer, part of the Crown Group, has been the preferred on-site caterer for the conference and entertainment venue for the last ten years, and originally secured the contract with Brighton & Hove Council in 2004.
The Brighton & Hove Council procurement team ran a formal review of all catering facilities at the Brighton Centre involving a full tender being conducted.
Kudos demonstrated new cafe concepts for the venue’s conferencing, commercial and retail outlets, and also highlighted how the existing operations could evolve, adapt and grow with minimal disruption.
Howard Barden, head of tourism and venues at Brighton & Hove Council, said: "We weren’t necessarily looking for anything revolutionary, but we were pleasantly surprised at the detail and thought that Kudos had put in to the vision for the next four years.
"This clearly demonstrated to the procurement team that Kudos were able to continue to deliver great quality food and service while bringing a fresh approach to the catering experience."
Jon Pryce, managing director of Kudos, added: "The Kudos team at Brighton are extremely passionate and committed. This has certainly been demonstrated by the service levels achieved over the last ten years.
"However, our creative projects team were equally excited by the opportunity to introduce new concepts and refurbish the cafes. There is a real sense of collaborative innovation and we are all looking forward to the next four years at the venue."Comment below to let us know what you think.
