London & Partners, founding partners of London Technology Week, said it could not reveal anymore details about the event at this moment in time.

London Technology Week, which will be hosted by a variety of venues around the capital, will run for five days until 20 June.

Global B2B events producer UBM Live has been named as organiser of the event. The company’s CEO, Simon Foster, told Event that the positive response to London Technology Week so far has meant it is already looking into expanding the event further in 2015.

Over 30,000 guests are expected to attend more than 130 events, which include seminars, demonstrations, exhibitions and networking events from the likes of Samsung, Microsoft and Google.

Speaking at a press conference at City Hall yesterday, deputy Mayor of London for business and enterprise Kit Malthouse said he wanted the week to act much like mobile dating app Tinder for the technology industry.

He said: "We want to avoid the San Franciscan problem, where the tech industry is separate from everything else. We want London to be a crossroads, rather than a cul-de-sac, for technology."
