The Boring Conference is taking place at Conway Hall in Holborn on May 31. The inaugaural event was held in 2010 at the Dominion Theatre in Tottenham Court Road, with successive events in 2011 and then again in 2012, both at York Hall Health and Leisure Centre in Bethnal Green.
Organiser James Ward said the event did not take place last year as "life was, if you'll forgive my levity, quite interesting for me."
The Boring Conference has previously covered topics such as toast, yellow lines and self-service checkouts, heights of celebrities, IBM tills, walking home, shop fronts, civil aircraft and fridges.
The event also has a new naming convention this year. In place of the established suffix - the year in which the conference was taking place - a sequential Roman numeral expression is being used, with this year's conference known as Boring IV.
