Bompas & Parr adds Christmas workshops to BMOF

Bompas & Parr has devised a series of new programmes for its recently opened British Museum of Food (BMOF) installation within London's Borough Market.

One for foodies and budding chefs, the Christmas Jelly Workshop on 10 December will see ticketholders learn all about the art of jelly making.

Participants will have the opportunity to create a bespoke jelly mould and two Christmas flavoured jellies, as well as personalise their own Bompas & Parr apron to take home. They can also expect to walk into a mulled nitrogen cloud upon departure from the space. 

BMOF’s butterfly installation will play host to three tropical yoga sessions on 6, 14 and 20 December. The classes, which will include seven people each, are said to be the first of their kind in London.

Instructor Jodie Hurn will lead the sessions in the 90% humidity space, as butterflies of varying colours and sizes fly around the room. Attendees will receive a banana smoothie post-workout, and they will be invited to the BMOF’s Bolus room for gravity restoration sessions in its massage chairs.

The Bitter Tears workshop on 15 December will see participants make bitters from their own pasteurised tears, as well as create mori jewellery using their own strands of hair.

The ticket prices also includes a monk brew and an hour session and free cocktail at Bompas & Parr's nearby space, Alcoholic Architecture. 

Bompas & Parr is also behind The View at The Shard's height of winter experience, which is open until 31 January.
