The independently run festival, which featured a line-up of more than 100 acts including Noah and the Whale and Chase & Status, has confirmed that it will return to Chepstow Racecourse in August 2010.

"There have been a number of obstacles that our small team has had to deal with this year. Difficult economic conditions and having to move site at very short notice some weeks ago have affected us in a big way, and meant that we have been on the back foot for most of the year," said a festival spokesperson.

"We have worked tirelessly for the best part of nine months on this event, which makes it very hard for us to walk away from it. However, we have to think of the bigger picture and feel that we are making the right decision."

Meanwhile, a number of festivals, including The Big Chill and Beachdown, have offered exchanges to Bloom ticket holders.
