Event technology firm Blondefish has signed a partnership deal with Crossplatform that will see it offer augmented reality to its customers.

Augmented reality, the use of image recognition to produce information on a digital platform (such as a mobile phone or PC), is becoming an increasingly popular way to enhance an event.

Blondefish plans to use Crossplatform’s augmented reality offering in conjunction with its own RFID systems.

"Augmented reality kick-starts the process of interactivity, amplification and measurement, helping brands create interaction and engagement with their audiences," said Blondefish managing director Laura Moody.

"There is a serious ‘wow’ factor to augmented reality. You have to see it to believe it and when you see it you won’t believe it."
