Bike museum to reopen after £8m overhaul

The National Motorcycle Museum (NMM) will reopen in December after a multi-million pound renovation.

The Birmingham venue suffered extensive damage estimated at £8m when a fire ripped through the building last year (Event, October).

The refurbishment of the 4,600 sq m site will see all 13 original exhibition halls and delegate suites restored. One of the two theatre-style suites has increased its capacity by a third to accommodate 1,000 guests.

Three suites remained open during the construction period allowing the venue to host a limited number of events.
