The online experience, created by VCCP’s digital department, is launching ahead of the Pacquiao vs Mayweather boxing match, which has been dubbed ‘the fight of the century’.
Boxing fans are encouraged to engage in a ‘fight before the fight’ by going to the TweetRumble website and tweeting their support for either #TeamPacquiao or #TheMoneyTeam, which is Mayweather’s boxing name.
A custom animation powered by users tweets throws a punch for every twitter mention, meanwhile a tweet-o-meter shows the sway of balance in real-time by measuring all of the twitter mentions.
The platform also includes BetVictor’s latest odds and displays celebrity tweets, revealing who is supporting whom.
Julian Douglas, vice-chairman of VCCP said: "This is the biggest fight of the century and we’ve created the venue for the ‘fight before the fight’.
"It is an innovative technological platform, giving fans the opportunity to land their own punches in the social media battle. It’s a great opportunity to partner with BetVictor to engage with customers and boxing fans."
Anton Bell, chief marketing officer, Betvictor, added: "Everyone has an opinion on this fight, our customers included. The 'fight before the fight' is a great opportunity to put our social teams to work engaging with boxing fans and bettors alike."
