A favourite on screen hang-out in the franchise, which includes Chicago Med also on Universal Channel, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D, Molly’s has seen characters celebrate, commiserate, and enjoy many-a-drink over the years to become a conjoined piece of Chicago folklore. The London version of the bar welcomed guests this week (28 March), in an activation devised together with agency PrettyGreen.
Akin to a set visit, Chicago franchise fans in London got to visit without having to crossing the pond and were treated to Chicago-themed beers and cocktails alongside burgers and pizzas. They were also given a sneak preview of the first episode of Chicago Justice before anyone else, ahead of its hotly anticipated UK premiere on Universal Channel tonight (30 March) at 9pm. The series follows the State's Attorney's team of prosecutors and investigators as they navigate heated city politics, while fearlessly pursuing justice.
Furthermore, the legendary Carl Weathers, who has appeared in Rocky and Predator and Philip Winchester, who has starred in The Patriot and Strike Back, the lead actors from Chicago Justice, participated in a Q&A session after the screening to talk about their roles in the new series.
Alibi, UKTV's crime drama channel, launched Framed last year, the world's first interactive murder mystery escape room to be streamed live on Facebook. Last month, to mark the launch of its new Marvel series Legion, Fox Networks Group opened The Mutant Lounge, a cocktail bar staffed by mutants with superpowers.
