The event, which took place last night (9 March) saw guests invited to the Diet Coke Penthouse, the epitome of top-floor luxury – including a Diet Coke bar, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and skyline views of London. The event was aimed at promoting a new competition from Diet Coke and part of its Get The Gang Back Together campaign, where entrants can win a luxurious penthouse stay for their group of friends across Europe, including the Penthouse last night's event was hosted in.
Guests were greeted with a drinks reception and welcomed into the event space, adorned with shiny silver balloons spelling out ‘Friends’. Dom & Ink manned a Diet Coke illustration station with people flocking around him as he brought the campaign to life by drawing catwalk-style illustrations of guests.
One of the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms hosted the Diet Coke Glam Room, where guests relaxed while manicurists gave them beautiful nails to admire as they sipped their Diet Coke. A professional make-up artist also set up shop in the bathroom so guests could enjoy a makeover moment.
Last year, online accommodation provider Airbnb gave one person and three of their friends the chance to stay for one night with musician, DJ and songwriter Mark Ronson at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. Last January, Rupert Hunt, the founder of flatshare site Spareroom, began a campaign to find two new housemates to live with him in London.
