Beatwax founder Michael Brown has reassured Event that his agency will remain unaffected by the departure of part-owner Mark Borkowski of his eponymous agency.

Borkowski is stepping away from Borkowski PR after 24 years, selling his stake to fellow shareholders MD Larry Franks, director Emeka Njodi and chairman Graeme Arkell.

The agency will rebrand as 'Beige', but its relationship with Beatwax will remain the same.

"I remain unaffected by it in truth. I am still the major shareholder in the business. Mark is no longer involved," said Brown. "The two key board members on the Beige business, namely Larry Franks and Graeme Arkell, are still on my board."

Event revealed Beatwax’s sale to Borkowski in March 2009.
