Taking place in the Honky Tonk bar at restaurant Texas Joe's Slow Smoked Meats in Bermondsey on 4 October, the evening will feature a tasting of the full core range of Balcones whiskey, each paired with a special BBQ dish. Head distiller Jared Himstedt and brand ambassador Winston Edwards will host the event.
Guests will have the chance to try a cocktail upon arrival, followed by a tasting through the award-winning Balcones range: Texas Single Malt, Baby Blue, True Blue 100 and the super smoky Brimstone – as well as the distillery’s new limited edition release whiskies for this autumn.
Dishes will include bacon wrapped jalapeños, smoked beef fillet and Joe’s signature brisket nacho.
Earlier this year, craft beer Brewdog teamed up with Bodean's BBQ smokehouse restaurant for a series of dinners showcasing BBQ-style food. Wildman Craft Beer and Memphis BBQ restaurant Porky's BBQ hosted a partnership event at London's Boxpark, which featured food, drinks and live music by DJs.
