Guests will enter the Lost World through a secret temple ruins entrance, and have to navigate their way to the screening room, where they will be treated to jungle-themed cocktails and popcorn alongside tropical plants and trees, sound effects and some special surprises at a South London venue.
Screenings, aimed at both adults and children will include Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Jurassic World and The Hunger Games.
Dominic Davies, Backyard Cinema company founder said: "We can’t wait for people to experience the Lost World. This is a theme that is close to our hearts, this is a true homage to the action and adventure movies we grew up on and keep coming back to. We want to enhance nostalgia for them by creating a real sense of adventure."
The pop-up will launch this week, on 16 September, and run until the 2 October, taking place at the Mercato Metropolitano street food and farmers' market, housed in a disused paper factory, in Elephant and Castle.
Last year, Secret Cinema announced plans to expand into the nightlclub sector, and this year revealed plans for a series of Dirty Dancing-inspired events.
