Sponsored by Citi Private Bank for the second year, the event, held last weekend (28 February to 2 March), at Olympia Grand Hall in Kensington, London, drew artists, galleries and collectors from across the world. A VIP preview was held on 27 February.
A total of 180 galleries from 40 countries presented work at the show, with countries such as Hungary, Taiwan and China exhibiting alongside galleries from Cuba, France, Russia, Germany and the UK, with collectors and visitors eager to learn more about art produced globally.
The Global Private Museum Summit was held on the first day, a closed-door discussion that aims to establish a network of international museum owners dedicated to sharing their expertise in developing arts programming globally.
Planning for Art15, to be held next year at the same venue, is in the pipeline, but dates have yet to be confirmed.
The event was co-founded by Tim Etchells, owner of events company SME London, and Sandy Angus, chairman of Angus Montgomery and co-founder of Art HK, the Hong Kong International Art Fair.
