This September, the brand is inviting contestants from around the globe to Islay – its remote Scottish island home, for the launch of what it says is the world’s most daring whisky challenge. Bringing to life Ardbeg’s untamed spirit, the brand will take a group of contestants on an unforgettable odyssey into essential Islay.
Led by distillery manager Mickey Heads and survival expert Monty Halls, the 'Ardventurers' will spend three days from 5-8 September attempting to conquer the island’s rugged coastline, wild peat bogs, mist-capped hills and brooding lochs as they compete to be named the 'Ultimate Ardventurer.
Earlier this year, Ardbeg marked the release of Ardbeg Dark Cove with an evening of entertainment for whisky lovers across the globe. In 2015, Glenmorangie opened its first London pop-up, the Glenmorangie Unseen Bar experience.
