Appear Here has launched in the US with Opening Ceremony and Google among the brands working with the retail space operator.

The company, which connects brands with short-term retail space, will begin its US expansion in New York working with real estate firms Blackstone, Simon Property Group and Brookfield to list more than 200 spaces in NYC neighbourhoods including Chelsea, West Village, SoHo, Nolita and Williamsburg.

Appear Here’s existing client base includes Net-a-Porter and Loewe. Following the company’s successful expansion into Paris, the US was the next step, said founder Ross Bailey. He told Event: "More than ever, designers, brands and entrepreneurs are realising that renting space online is the fastest and most flexible approach to retail. We're excited about the opportunity to bring our award-winning platform and service to the US, starting with New York."

In February, Appear Here appointed former Cushman & Wakefield director, Eva Marie Santiago.
