The restaurant featured in television series Breaking Bad and the pop-up, which was first unveiled at this year's SXSW festival, is being staged to tie in with the launch of season three of Better Call Saul, which premieres on AMC on 10 April.
AMC has partnered with Citizens Parking, one of the largest parking companies in the US, to offer fans the opportunity to enjoy show character Gustavo Fring’s famous curly fries in New York. The menu at the SXSW festival featured breakfast tacos, burritos, burgers and bags of curly fries with several dipping sauces. The New York pop-up will be open from 9-10 April at Pearl Street, while a similar pop-up was staged earlier this week in Los Angeles, from 29-30 March.
Season three of Better Call Saul follows the twists and turns of Jimmy McGill’s devolution toward Breaking Bad’s Saul Goodman – Albuquerque’s most notorious criminal lawyer and is set six years before he meets Walter White from Breaking Bad.
Members of the public were invited to spend the night at the infamous Bates Motel in the UK in 2015, to mark the launch of Season 3 of the Bates Motel TV series on Universal Channel. At this year's SXSW, Amazon staged a 'secret radio' takeover at SXSW festival, inspired by hit shows available to stream on the online video platform.
