The one-day event at Olympia, open to venues, suppliers and organisers in the events and exhibitions industry, will be chaired by Excel London chief executive Jamie Buchan and deal with issues such as pandemics, security threats and flooding.

Seven speakers have so far been booked, including SECC chief executive Mike Closier, EC&O Venues security managers Tony Hawkins and Trevor McNevin, and Dr Sally Leivesley, managing director of New Risk strategic management consultancy.

“This is an event that has been requested by AEV members and one that we are delighted to deliver,” AEV director Tom Treverton said.
