The Association of Exhibition Organisers (AEO) has signed up four
sponsors for its Exhibition Industry Forum in September.
The AEO originally aimed to have five sponsors but opted for one less
'for more exclusivity'. The four are Melville Exhibition Services,
Expocentric, Exhibition Bulletin and the NEC Group.
'We are forging ahead with our preparations for the forum,' said AEO
deputy director Austen Hawkins. 'We are ahead of schedule and have
started to sell places for the conference.'
The forum will take place from 6-7 September at Celtic Manor, Wales.
It will comprise 30 presentations with a number of major speakers. One
of the contributors will be Reed Exhibition Companies chairman Mike
'It's a good idea for the delegates to take two days out of their very
busy schedule and concentrate on the issues and look at ways forward,'
added Hawkins. 'The forum will help refresh the product in every part of

Meanwhile, the AEO is considering producing an 'Introduction to the
Exhibition Industry'. The AEO said the publication would be an
'invaluable tool for new employees to the industry'.
