Ad:Tech show is swallowed up by DMG

DMG World Media has acquired interactive marketing exhibitions, Ad:Tech, from US-based JD Events for an undisclosed sum.

The annual exhibitions currently take place in San Francisco, Chicago and New York with Shanghai and London-based shows set to launch this year.

However, IMP Events will launch the London show at Olympia in September, thanks to an existing licensing deal. "Online marketing is incredibly successful with the amount of spend on online tools increasing," said Clive Ellings, co-founder of IMP Events.

"We are interested in the sector and we are actively looking at other events in this area," said DMG World Media executive vice-president Mark Carr.
