Adept Marketing to use Sign Spinning to launch Mortal Kombat

Experiential agency Adept Marketing is employing US street dance craze Sign Spinning to help launch Warner Bros' Mortal Kombat computer game with a series of events starting on 17 April at Gadget Show Live in the NEC.

Sign Spinning, which orginated in 2002, is one of the fatest growing sports in the USA and involves its participants dancing with the use of 6ft long advertising signs.

Developed by Adept Marketing Group creative director Julian Woolley for the Mortal Kombat events, consumers will see sign spinning taking place at a number of locations and retail stores across the UK, starting with an appearance at Gadget Show Live on 17 April.

Woolley said: "Launching with UK widfe performances for the Mortal Kombat release is only the start. We aim to roll out further campaigns to support our brand clients."
