The winner of tonight’s event will go on to battle against comic mariachi band Beato Burrito at Event 360, which takes place next Tuesday (23 June) at Roundhouse in Camden.

Six acts will compete tonight. The Spitfire Sisters, a 1940s-style part harmony trio will perform their vintage-inspired tunes, extreme contortion artist Orissa Kelly is set to wow the crowd with her signature moves and Stringfever will combine an electric instrumental performance with beatboxing.

All will battle against Soul singer Francesca, shadow show 2 Minds Combined and a special sixth act, who promises to be difficult to spot.

Tonight, the judging panel will consist of Adam Sternberg, director of Sternberg Clarke; Liz Clayton, group events manager at Haymarket Media Group; Guanabara’s Jorge Santos; and Katie Deighton from Event.

The winner of Beat the Brief will be given the opportunity to perform in front of the UK event industry at October’s Event Awards, which will be held at the Eventim Apollo.

Beato Burrito clinched a win at round one of Beat the Brief in May, beating acrobat Zero Central to the title be just three audience votes.
