Simon Dornan has a new department at Virgin Media

Virgin Media event guru Simon Dornan has been tasked with leading the firm's newly formed brand amplification team.

Reporting directly to Jeff Dodds, executive director of brand and marketing at Virgin Media, Dornan and his team will be working closely with the advertising and sponsorship divisions at the company

The brains behind the Louder Lounge at the V Festival in Chelmsford, Dornan will focus on maximising the impact and value of Virgin Media's biggest brand campaigns and investments, including Virgin Media’s V Festival, short film competition Virgin Media Shorts and the growing Virgin Media Pioneers initiative.

Dornan's new team will also consist of Verity Henderson, senior PR and brand campaigns manager. Both Dornan and Henderson are transferring from their current roles within the corporate affairs team at Virgin Media.

Dodds said: "We have produced some fantastic campaigns this year and have engaged in some new and exciting sponsorship properties, not least Britain’s Got Talent. Our new brand activation team will ensure we make the most of all our brand properties through highly creative, profile-building activities integrated and aligned with our PR and internal engagement activity."
