Grenada House choses Arlington Conference Centre as Olympic base
The High Commission for Grenada has booked the venue from 4 – 11 August.
The house will promote Grenada through cultural activities and build support for the country's athletes at the Olympics.
Jason Pryce Kennedy, head of Arlington, told Event: "We are honoured and delighted that the High Commission for Grenada has chosen the Arlington Conference Centre to host Grenada House during the 2012 Olympic Games. Our state of the art conference centre will be the perfect venue for visitors to experience and enjoy the rich Grenadian culture right here in the heart of London."
The conference centre is part of the Arlington House building, a homeless hostel built in 1905 and owned by One Housing Group. It provides accommodation for homeless people and young low income workers and spaces for social enterprise and business.
In 2010 it completed a multi-million pound redevelopment which introduced modern conferencing facilities to the venue.
