The people behind the 'We Are What We Do' campaign have created a 9m-long rubbish guzzling monster called Jacques Le Trash that it is unleashing at the Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight this weekend (10-12 September).

The monster has been created, with the help of Live Union, as part of a campaign to increase recycling amongst festival goers.

'We Are What We Do' promotes the idea that everyone can change the world one small action at a time and has split its website into 150 little different actions that add up to make a difference – many of which are fun to do.

Jacques le Trash feeds into action number 52 'Recycle Waste Paper' and will be roaming around the festival grounds collecting tin cans, paper plates, plastic bottles and cigarette butts, which he’ll consume and recycle.

We Are What We Do CEO Nick Stanhope, said: "Jacques le Trash’s key goal is to make recycling fun. Bestival visitors don’t have to worry about finding a place to recycle, that place will come to them in the form of a grizzly monster with four different bellies."
