Photo gallery: The Retreat opening party

More than 700 guests from companies including Deloitte, the BBC and Ralph Lauren enjoyed standup comedy from Lenny Henry, hospitality from the venue’s in-house caterer and music from guest DJ Mat Horne, DJ Nathalie Morel and Jersey Budd.

The opening ceremony was screened in the Retreat’s very own cinema and on TVs around the venue for all to see.

As previously reported, the Grade II listed venue has been transformed into a luxury members club for the Games.

Split into six themed areas, it features a nightclub, backstage beauty treatment area, diner and country club. Footage from the Games will be shown each day on big screens.
