In a new TV feature for eventmagazine.co.uk, we asked Rick Stainton, managing director of agency Smyle, to comment on our top three news stories of the week.

In the video, Stainton gives his views on whether Locog could have staged a non-stop torch relay with the budget it had to work with, and looks at Danny Boyle’s plans for the Olympic Stadium to become British countryside for opening ceremony.

He also talks about the cancellation of the Innocent festival and what this means for the future of smaller community festivals.
