The Manchester auditions saw 23,500 people watch the live auditions over three days, and more than 300 hopefuls try out for a place on the show.
Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and former Spice Girl Mel B were on the judging panel.
Andy Orr, director at EventCity, said: "We are thrilled to welcome the The X Factor auditions back to EventCity. The X Factor is the biggest show in the country and we are delighted that they have come back here for a second year and recognise the excellent offering EventCity has, as well as the quality of event and service we can provide".
The X Factor will return to ITV1 later in the year.
