The contract will see G4S supply 650 personnel for the event, approximately two thirds of which have been drawn from the local area.
The G4S team has been at the Celtic Manor site since early July preparing for the tournament, which is expected to attract 45,000 visitors a day.
During the event they will be patrolling hospitality areas including the Clubhouse, practice courses and driving ranges as well as providing security for the players’ hotels.
"This is one of the most prestigious sports events in the world. It attracts a huge number of visitors as well as the millions watching around the globe, so ensuring it runs smoothly is essential," said G4S managing director Mark Hamilton.
