Event TV: Interview with Bestival director Jim King

In the video, King describes the 2012 event, which ran from 6-9 September, as "by far the best one we’ve ever done."

The four-day event looked after 55,000 festival-goers and around 5,500 staff. Logan said it’s like "securing the welfare of a small town – it’s probably the biggest town on the Isle of Wight during the event".

Showsec has a five-year contract with Bestival organisers to supply security to the event and its sister show Camp Bestival.

King added: "We have developed a strong relationship with Showsec and together we have changed the role and perspective of event security by integrating them into the fabric of the events."
