Crewsaders launches Chinese event staffing arm

The event staff division of crewing company Crewsaders has launched a UK-based Mandarin event staff unit.

The move follows increasing interest in the UK from China as a conference and events destination.

Crewsaders has appointed Sophie Chen as manager of the new division.

Chen will be responsible for providing Mandarin speaking staff for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, galas and other live events. A meet and greet service is also planned for Heathrow and Gatwick airports, to welcome and guide Chinese business travellers attending events in London and further afield.

Lisa Sutton, head of event staff at Crewsaders, said: "This is an exciting time for growing new markets. The predicted increase in business from China, encouraged by the Olympic halo effect and keen pricing, are attractive to overseas buyers."
