Event TV: Winner of Kate Factor revealed

In July, Merlin Events teamed up with entertainment agency Sternberg Clarke to launch The Kate Factor, a search for the nation’s undiscovered Duchess of Cambridge lookalike.

Nicola Maher was selected as the winner of and received her first photo opportunity at a ‘Pimm’s with Kate’ drinks reception - complete with topless waiters - at the offices of Wedgewood Britain.

Adam Sternberg, director of Sternberg Clarke said Maher doesn’t just look like Kate but has the personality too. "That’s as important as the look itself," he said.

He added that the Sternberg Clarke office has seen a lookalike renaissance. "Clients from overseas and in the UK like British themed events and we have used a lot of British lookalikes from James Bond to David Beckham. Lookalikes provide a versatile and fun way to get across not only the theme for an event but also the tone."
