Mash Media to revive Event Production Show

Mash Media Group plans to reinvigorate the Event Production Show, following its acquisition of the event production portfolio from Ocean Media Group yesterday.

The deal includes the Event Production Show, Event Production Awards, Access All Areas magazine, and The White Book.

Nadia Cameron, editor of Exhibition News, told Event that Mash Media will stage the 20-year-old industry show in 2013, and has ideas for giving it "a boost" by improving the show format and expanding its content programme.

The show launched in 1992 and attracted 4,000 visitors when it was held in February at London’s Olympia. Event reported in May that former owners Ocean Media had scrapped plans for the trade show in 2013 as it looked to sell off its event portfolio.

Julian Agostini, Mash Media Group’s managing director said the acquisition adds "a new dimension" to the company’s brand portfolio.

"We had enquired about buying these products several times over the years and it is very exciting that the time is now right," Agostini said.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
