The International Special Events Society (ISES) has commissioned the second part of a research project exploring the impact on the events industry supply chain during summer 2012.

The initial report conducted by crewing company Crewsaders earlier in the year found uncertainty surrounding supply and demand around the time of the Diamond Jubilee and 2012 Olympic Games was restricting investment in equipment and venues, putting pressure on the industry to increase productivity.

The second part will focus on the lessons learned from hosting these events and how the UK’s supply chain adapted to decreasing supply-side capacities. It will then compare these findings against the pre-summer industry predictions to provide future insight.

Data will be collected using an online survey as well as in-depth interviews with ISES UK members and the wider events industry. The findings will be presented at The Special Event in Chicago in January 2013.

A link to the survey can be found here.
